CollaborateMD: Your Medical Billing Software Provider

Philanthropy

At CollaborateMD, we believe in giving back to the community on a global scale. That’s why we have carefully selected a number of charitable organizations to support. If you would like to donate or simply learn more about involvement with any of these vital organizations, please visit one of the websites below today.

Collaborate MD and American Forests
Plant a Tree – Go ASP
Our customers are already saving money on electricity and excess paper, and are helping reduce carbon emissions from servers by using our Internet-based system, but we wanted to go one step further to help the environment. In March 2008, we started the CollaborateMD Plant a Tree – Go ASP program to help offset the carbon dioxide output produced in everyday life. Since it is estimated that a large tree can absorb 45 pounds of carbon dioxide per annum over a 40 year lifespan, CollaborateMD kicked off the program by donating funds to purchase 3,000 trees; one for each active user on its system. We further pledged to purchase another 500 trees to help offset our Company’s estimated yearly carbon dioxide output. To keep the effort active throughout the year, CollaborateMD will purchase 10 trees each time a new customer signs up.
United Methodist Committee on Relief
United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR)
United Methodist Committee on Relief, which seeks to alleviate human suffering in more than 80 countries worldwide, including the United States, was the first nonprofit to be supported by CollaborateMD. UMCOR is the humanitarian relief and development agency of the United Methodist Church, a worldwide denomination. Their goal is to provide practical, proactive support to the most vulnerable survivors of chronic or temporary emergencies due to natural or civil causes.
St Jude Childrens Research Hospital
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
We also added St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, devoted to research and the treatment of children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases, to the CollaborateMD list of charities. All patients accepted for treatment at St. Jude are treated without regard to the family's ability to pay. With research and patient care under one roof, St. Jude is a place where many doctors send some of their sickest patients and toughest cases.
Covenant House
Covenant House
Our Company also supports Covenant House, which provides shelter and other services to homeless, runaway and throwaway youth, including medical care, educational and vocational programs, drug abuse treatment and prevention programs, legal aid services, recreation programs, mother/child programs, transitional living programs, life-skills training and street outreach. It is the largest privately-funded agency in the Americas.
Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity International, which builds and rehabilitates small houses with the help of the homeowner (partner) families, is the most recent addition to our list of charitable contributions. Habitat houses are sold to partner families at no profit and financed with affordable loans. The homeowners’ monthly mortgage payments are used to build still more Habitat houses. In addition to a down payment and the monthly mortgage payments, homeowners invest hundreds of hours of their own labor - sweat equity - into building their Habitat house and the houses of others.
Junior Achievement of Central Florida
Junior Achievement of Central Florida
Our annual donations to Junior Achievement of Central Florida help this organization in their mission to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. They believe, as do we, that every student has the potential to succeed in life – regardless of his or her background or economic status. JA inspires students to set and attain goals that are personally important to them because, "You can’t dream big if your world is small."
March of Dimes
March of Dimes
The March of Dimes is the nation’s leading nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. On October 21, 2009, CollaborateMD joined the March of Dimes in their efforts at the annual Signature Chefs Auction event that was held at the Church Street Station Ballroom in downtown Orlando. More than 330 guests enjoyed exquisite food and wine for the evening and, along with CollaborateMD, helped the March of Dimes raise more than $80,000 that will go toward their educational campaigns, neonatal programs and services.
